  1. Click on the Start button and click Control Panel.
  2. Open Network Connections and double-click on Local Area Connection.
  3. Click Properties.
  4. Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
  5. Select Properties.
  6. Click Obtain an IP address automatically and select Obtain DNS server address automatically.

Windows 7

  1. Open the menu and click Control Panel.
  2. Enter adapter into the search box and tap Enter.
  3. Right-click on the connection and select Properties.
  4. Select Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) or Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
  5. Click Obtain an IP address automatically and click Obtain DNS server address automatically.

Windows Vista

  1. Click on the Start button and then open Control Panel.
  2. Click Network and Internet and go to Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Click Manage Network Connections.
  4. Right-click on the connection and click Properties.
  5. Click on the Network tab.
  6. Select Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) or Internet Protocol Version 4.
  7. Open Properties once again and click Obtain IP address automatically.
  8. Click Obtain DNS server address automatically.

Modify Windows Hosts file

  1. Go to C:Windowssystem32driversetc and open the hosts file with Notepad.
  2. The last line has to be ::11 or 127.0.0.1 and remove everything else from the file.

Erase Add-ons

  2. Open the menu and tap Ctrl+Shift+A.
  3. Click Extensions.
  4. Select the extension and click remove.

Google Chrome

  1. Open your browser and tap Alt+F.
  2. Select Tools and click Extensions.
  3. Select the extension and click the trash button.

Internet Explorer

  1. Open your browser and tap Alt+T.
  2. Select Manage Add-ons and click Toolbars and Extensions.
  3. Select the undesirable extension.
